Thanks to the fine folks at the Garden District Book Shop, Isabelle Allende will be reading from her latest book, , at Sacred Heart's Nims Center this Friday, May 14, 2010, at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
I am a huge fan and, although I have not yet read her newest book, I am looking forward to listening to her and, hopefully, getting a signed copy of her book. Christian and I are going to follow up the special event with a quiet dinner somewhere nice to celebrate his birthday (which is actually on Thursday). There are quite a few NOLA restaurants we have not had the pleasure of trying so I think we will pick some place new (to us). Very exciting!
