With the exception of my annoying cough, today was lovely. The best part of the day was when we finally heard from mom-mom. Apparently she is having an incredible time in South Africa. Now that I know she is okay I will get some sleep tonight. The anxiety was really getting to me. I am a chronic worrier. It is a wonder that I am not medicated.
I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon and by the time I finished with the lab work and waited for what seemed like an eternity at the pharmacy it was too late to go back to the office, so I went home. I spent the remainder of the afternoon hanging out with Christian, La Luz, and Loki.
We had dinner together at Babylon where La Luz proceeded to eat the hummus with her hands - why spoil the delicate flavor with bread - followed by gelato (yea, I know, I am addicted) at La Divina Gelateria on Magazine Street. The gelato is delicious and there are many interesting flavors. The place itself is minimally decorated on the inside but there is plenty of space for kids to play and there are even blocks and children's tables and chairs. The wildest thing about the place is the chairs for the kids. They are total Nooni chairs and I can't wait to bring Marty and Susan when they are in town for Jazz Fest.

Sounds as if, you had a better day than I did.
Gelato is pretty hard to beat
